What makes a good TH4 trophy base

Trophy bases defend while you are offline, against attackers who did not choose you deliberately - they are skipping through a list looking for an easy village. That changes the priority: you want an attacker to move on rather than to lose slowly. A centred Town Hall denies the cheap one-star snipe, splash defences cover the approach lanes, and traps sit where a rushed army walks rather than where it would if someone had scouted. At this level most attacks are still basic ground armies - giants, barbarians, archers and a few wall breakers - so intact walls and one or two well-placed splash defences do most of the work. Do not over-invest in a design here; you will outgrow it in weeks.

• Town Hall 4 unlocks Mortar, Lightning Spell, so layouts here have to find room for them without opening up the core.
• Army camps hold 80 housing space at this level, which is what an attacker can bring against these bases.
