What makes a good TH7 hybrid base

A hybrid base keeps the Town Hall and the storages behind the same walls, so it defends trophies and loot at once. It is the honest compromise: slightly worse at each job than a dedicated base, and the right choice while you are upgrading and cannot afford to bleed either. The usual mistake is treating it as a trophy base with the storages moved in - the compartment layout has to earn its keep on both counts. At this level most attacks are still basic ground armies - giants, barbarians, archers and a few wall breakers - so intact walls and one or two well-placed splash defences do most of the work. Do not over-invest in a design here; you will outgrow it in weeks.

About Town Hall 7

  • Town Hall 7 unlocks Dark Barracks, Barbarian King, so layouts here have to find room for them without opening up the core.
  • Army camps hold 200 housing space at this level, which is what an attacker can bring against these bases.
