What makes a good TH11 hybrid base

A hybrid base keeps the Town Hall and the storages behind the same walls, so it defends trophies and loot at once. It is the honest compromise: slightly worse at each job than a dedicated base, and the right choice while you are upgrading and cannot afford to bleed either. The usual mistake is treating it as a trophy base with the storages moved in - the compartment layout has to earn its keep on both counts. This is where the standard armies arrive. Attackers bring hog riders, lava hounds and bowlers, a filled Clan Castle and heroes worth using, so compartment layout starts to matter more than the level of any single defence.

About Town Hall 11

  • Town Hall 11 unlocks Eagle Artillery, Grand Warden, so layouts here have to find room for them without opening up the core.
  • Army camps hold 260 housing space at this level, which is what an attacker can bring against these bases.
