What makes a good TH17 farming base

A farming base protects storages, not trophies. Gold and elixir storages move to the centre, the Dark Elixir storage deepest of all, and the Town Hall goes outside the walls where a snipe costs you a shield-worth of loot and nothing else. Losing trophies here is the intended trade: dropping down the ladder puts you against villages with more loot and weaker defences, which is the whole point of farming. Attackers at this level have everything: Root Riders, hero equipment, enough spell capacity to erase any one defence, and the ability to plan around whatever they scout. A base here wins by spreading value rather than by protecting a single strong point.

• Town Hall 17 unlocks Giga Inferno level 6, enhanced defenses, so layouts here have to find room for them without opening up the core.
• Army camps hold 340 housing space at this level, which is what an attacker can bring against these bases.
