TH9 War Base Layouts

What makes a good TH9 war base

War and CWL attacks are planned. Your opponent scouts first, picks an army for what they see, and gets a full three minutes. A war base cannot rely on surprising anyone, so it has to make a three-star expensive: the Town Hall sits centrally, compartments are small enough that wall-breakers only open one at a time, and the Clan Castle is deep enough that the defending troops come out late. Most war bases fail at the same point - a single funnel that lets the attacker reach the core from one side. This is where the standard armies arrive. Attackers bring hog riders, lava hounds and bowlers, a filled Clan Castle and heroes worth using, so compartment layout starts to matter more than the level of any single defence.

• Town Hall 9 unlocks X-Bow, Archer Queen, so layouts here have to find room for them without opening up the core.
• Army camps hold 220 housing space at this level, which is what an attacker can bring against these bases.
