Quick answer: Hammer Jam 2026 runs from 1 to 15 November 2026. For those two weeks, every Home Village upgrade you start costs half as much and takes half as long, and your Resource Collectors produce and hold twice as much. Every Town Hall level can take part. The Builder Base is not included. Town Hall 19 is due in the middle of the month, so the event ends right around the time it arrives.
Updated 1 November 2026, from Supercell's November season announcement. We will update this page if the in-game event card shows anything different.

What is Hammer Jam in Clash of Clans?
Hammer Jam is a yearly Clash of Clans event that cuts the price and the timer of upgrades in half. It has no tasks and no rewards to earn. You do not need to opt in: the discount is applied to every upgrade you start while the event is live, and the lower price shows on the upgrade button.
The event always comes in November, just before a new Town Hall level. The idea is simple. Players catch up on their current Town Hall, so more of them are ready to move up when the new level drops.
When is Hammer Jam 2026, and when does it end?
Hammer Jam 2026 started on 1 November 2026 and ends on 15 November 2026, according to Supercell's season post. That is 15 days, a little shorter than last year. The exact end time is shown on the event banner in the game, and it is worth checking, because the last few hours are the best time to start your longest upgrades (more on that below).
Here is how this year compares with the last three editions, and when each new Town Hall followed:
| Year | Hammer Jam | Length | New Town Hall released |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 27 Nov to 11 Dec | 15 days | Town Hall 16 on 12 Dec |
| 2024 | 8 Nov to 25 Nov | 18 days | Town Hall 17 on 25 Nov |
| 2025 | 1 Nov to 17 Nov | 17 days | Town Hall 18 on 17 Nov |
| 2026 | 1 Nov to 15 Nov | 15 days | Town Hall 19 "mid-month" (no exact date yet) |
The pattern is clear. Every recent Hammer Jam has ended on the day the new Town Hall arrived, or the day before. If that holds, Town Hall 19 lands on or around 15 November, and upgrades you start at Town Hall 19 will be at full price. This is our reading of the pattern, not something Supercell has said. Our Town Hall 19 release date page tracks the official date.
What Hammer Jam includes, and what it doesn't
Supercell's 2026 post promises "50% off upgrade timers and costs" without listing exceptions. Based on how the last editions worked, this is what to expect:
- Included: Home Village buildings, defences, traps, walls, Laboratory research, and hero and pet upgrades. If it has a price and a timer in your main village, it should be half.
- Not included: the Builder Base. The Builder Hall, its buildings and the Star Laboratory stay at normal price.
- Not included in 2025: Supercharges and Crafted Defenses. Supercell named both as exceptions last year. Expect the same this year.
- Hero Equipment. Equipment is upgraded at the Blacksmith with Ore, and previous editions did not discount it. Ore income is not doubled by the collector boost either.
The quickest check is in the game: tap any building, and if the event is applying, you will see the reduced price on the upgrade button.
Does Hammer Jam apply to the Builder Base?
No. Hammer Jam only discounts the Home Village. Builder Base upgrades, including the Builder Hall and Star Laboratory research, cost the usual amount. If you are short on builders, it makes sense to pause Builder Base upgrades for two weeks and put all your attention on the main village. Our Builder Base guide covers how to catch up there afterwards.
Upgrades started before 1 November
The discount is applied when an upgrade starts. An upgrade that was already running on 1 November keeps the timer it started with.
If one of those still has most of its time left, there is a trick. Cancelling an upgrade normally refunds half of what you paid. Restarting it during Hammer Jam costs half the normal price. So you pay nothing extra overall, and the new timer is half the full length. It is only worth it when more than half of the original timer remains. Two warnings: a refund that doesn't fit in your storages is lost, and check the refund the game offers before you confirm the cancel.
How much you actually save
The Town Hall upgrade shows the saving best. These are the normal prices from our Town Hall upgrade guide, next to what the same upgrade costs during Hammer Jam:
| Upgrade to | Normal cost | Normal time | Hammer Jam cost | Hammer Jam time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Town Hall 10 | 3,500,000 Gold | 3 days | 1,750,000 Gold | 1 day 12 hours |
| Town Hall 11 | 4,000,000 Gold | 5 days | 2,000,000 Gold | 2 days 12 hours |
| Town Hall 12 | 6,000,000 Gold | 6 days | 3,000,000 Gold | 3 days |
| Town Hall 13 | 9,000,000 Gold | 7 days | 4,500,000 Gold | 3 days 12 hours |
| Town Hall 14 | 12,000,000 Gold | 7 days 12 hours | 6,000,000 Gold | 3 days 18 hours |
| Town Hall 15 | 13,000,000 Gold | 8 days | 6,500,000 Gold | 4 days |
| Town Hall 16 | 15,000,000 Gold | 9 days | 7,500,000 Gold | 4 days 12 hours |
| Town Hall 17 | 16,000,000 Gold | 10 days | 8,000,000 Gold | 5 days |
| Town Hall 18 | 25,000,000 Gold | 12 days | 12,500,000 Gold | 6 days |

Moving up to Town Hall 18 during the event saves 12.5 million Gold and 6 days of builder time. The same halving applies to every other upgrade in your village, so over two weeks it adds up to months of builder time.
Halving the price means loot is rarely the limit during the event. Builder time is. That changes which magic items to use:
| Magic item | During Hammer Jam | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Builder Potion, Research Potion, Pet Potion | Use them | A potion adds the same number of hours as usual, but each hour is worth twice as much progress because every timer is halved. |
| Book of Building, Hammers | Save them | A book finishes one upgrade instantly. With timers already halved, it skips half as much time as it would after the event. |
| Wall Rings | Save them | Each ring replaces the Gold or Elixir for one wall level. Walls cost half during the event, so a ring saves half as much loot. |
If you have the Gold Pass, its builder and research boosts also shorten timers. In past seasons they applied on top of the Hammer Jam cut: half of 10 days is 5, and a 20% boost takes that to 4. Check one upgrade's timer in the game before planning around this, because Gold Pass perks change from season to season.
What to upgrade during Hammer Jam
Since builders are the limit, give them the jobs that save the most days. A good order for most accounts:
- Start the Laboratory's longest research on day one. Research runs separately from your builders and is the slowest queue at every Town Hall. Keep it busy for all 15 days.
- Give your builders the longest upgrades first. Heroes, the Town Hall weapon and the big defences have the longest timers, so halving them saves the most days. Short upgrades can wait for builders to free up.
- Put spare loot into walls. Walls have no timer, so for them the event is purely a saving. Every time your storages fill up, spend the extra on walls.
- Collect from your collectors often. With twice the capacity and production, they fill up fast. This matters most from Town Hall 8 to 12, where collectors are still a real part of your income.
- Leave the longest upgrades of all for the last few hours. An upgrade started before the event ends keeps its half timer and half price, even if it finishes days later. So on 15 November, make sure every builder starts something long before the event closes.
For a step-by-step order at your level, see our Town Hall upgrade guide. To check how much loot you need first, use the upgrade calculators.
Your Town Hall makes a difference
- Town Hall 18: Finish as much of Town Hall 18 as you can while it is half price, especially heroes. Then plan for Town Hall 19. If it lands when Hammer Jam ends, as in past years, you will want a full set of storages and at least one free builder that day for the Town Hall itself. The two goals compete, so decide early which matters more to you. The Last Town Hall 18 Challenge (9 to 15 November) runs at the same time.
- Town Hall 12 to 17: This is when the event saves the most. The Town Hall upgrade is one of the longest and most expensive jobs in the game, so if your village is nearly maxed, upgrading the Town Hall itself during Hammer Jam is a big saving. If your village is far from maxed, use the two weeks to catch up, not to rush.
- Below Town Hall 12: Upgrades are short at these levels, so you will finish many of them during the event. The collector boost helps most here. Don't skip defences just because it is cheap to move up: a rushed base is harder to defend and to farm with. Our farming guide will help you keep up with the loot.
Hammer Jam and Clan War League
The November Clan War League runs from 1 to 10 November, during the first two thirds of Hammer Jam. A building that is upgrading in your village still defends at its current level in war, so upgrading defences won't leave holes in your war base. Heroes are different: before you start a hero upgrade, check that you won't need that hero for your league attacks. Supercell put it plainly in this month's post: there's "no excuse to show up to league day with a half-built base". If your war base needs work, our TH18 war bases come with copy links.
