What's new at TH12
- At Town Hall 12 the Town Hall itself becomes a weapon, the Giga Tesla, which fights back and explodes when destroyed.
- The Workshop opens, and attackers can bring siege machines (the Wall Wrecker, the Battle Blimp and the Stone Slammer) that carry their Clan Castle troops deep into a base.
- Attackers also unlock the Yeti, the Headhunter and the Overgrowth Spell.
What TH12 bases defend against
- Siege machines aimed at the core, dropping Clan Castle troops right beside the Town Hall.
- Yetis and their Yetimites flattening buildings once they reach the middle.
Common TH12 base mistakes
- The Town Hall where the attacker can reach it early. It is a defence now, and its explosion should land among their troops.
- A straight line of defences from the edge to the core that a Battle Blimp or Stone Slammer can follow.

Choosing a TH12 base
Which layout you want depends on what you are protecting. A war base is built to stop three stars from an attacker who scouted you first. A trophy base defends while you are offline against players skipping through opponents. A farming base gives up the Town Hall to keep the storages safe, because loot matters more than trophies while you are upgrading. A hybrid does both jobs a little worse than either, and it is often the right choice while you cannot afford to lose either one. This is where the common attack strategies start. Attackers bring Hog Riders, then Lava Hounds and Bowlers as they level, along with a full Clan Castle and heroes, so the compartments matter more than the level of any one defence.
