Town Hall base layouts in Clash of Clans

Every Town Hall base on ClashBuilder is on this page, TH4 to TH18, each with a copy link that opens the layout in the game. Pick your level above, then the type of base you need.

Other players attack your home village more than any other: in multiplayer for your loot and trophies, and in Clan Wars and CWL for stars. Each of those jobs needs a different layout, so every level here is split by base type.

Which base type do you need?

War bases

These are built to stop three-star attacks in Clan Wars and CWL. Important defences are spread out, the base is split into compartments, and traps sit where common attacks path, so even a good attacker should leave with two stars or fewer.

Trophy bases

These are built to hold trophies. The Town Hall usually sits deep in the core behind several layers of defences, because losing it gives the attacker a star and the trophies that go with it.

Farming bases

These are built to keep your loot. Storages, Dark Elixir above all, go where attackers struggle to reach them, even if the Town Hall ends up more exposed.

Hybrid bases

Hybrids protect both the storages and the Town Hall, for players who would rather not switch layouts between farming and pushing.

Choosing a base for how you play

  • Clan Wars and CWL: use a war base for your level and set it as your war base before the war starts.
  • Pushing trophies: use a trophy base and keep it while you climb.
  • Saving for upgrades: use a farming base that guards your storages.
  • Little time to play: a hybrid base covers both, so you never have to switch.

How base design changes as you upgrade

Each Town Hall level adds defences, traps and walls, so a layout that works at one level is often weak or impossible at another. At lower levels, good bases funnel troops and cover against air. Inferno Towers at TH10 and the Eagle Artillery at TH11 give the core real stopping power. Scattershots at TH13, then the Monolith and Spell Towers at TH15, decide where attackers can and cannot go.

That is why every layout here is filed by level. Your Town Hall's page only shows bases you can copy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I copy a base layout into Clash of Clans?

Open the layout's page on a phone that has Clash of Clans installed and tap Copy Link. The game opens with the layout, which you save to one of your layout slots before choosing where to use it. You can only copy a layout at the Town Hall or Builder Hall level it was built for.

What is the difference between war, trophy, farming and hybrid bases?

Each protects something different. A war base stops attackers from taking three stars in Clan Wars and CWL, and a trophy base protects the Town Hall so you hold trophies. A farming base makes your storages, especially Dark Elixir, the hardest part to reach. A hybrid base balances loot and trophies so you do not have to switch.

What does anti 2 star and anti 3 star mean?

An anti 3 star base tries to stop a full clear, so the attacker leaves with two stars at most, which is what counts in war. An anti 2 star base guards the Town Hall and the 50% mark to hold an attack to one star, which is what counts when you are defending trophies.

Which base should I use for CWL?

Use a war base. Clan War Leagues use whatever you set as your war base, so pick one from the war page for your Town Hall and set it before the league starts.

Do I need an account to copy bases?

No. Every layout, copy link and guide works without signing in. A free account adds saving favourites and collections, building armies and sharing your own bases.

Which Town Hall levels are covered?

TH4 to TH18. Every level with enough published layouts gets its own page, and it is split by base type wherever a type has enough of them.
